GOOD TIMES AND NOT SO GOOD TIMES

                                                                  In the water
                                                                 Out of the water
We prefer the picture "In the water" vs. "Out of the water". The first picture is in Desolation Sound. The later was at Fort Flagler, Marrowstone Island. We had 40-50 knot winds while on a mooring ball and unfortunately, the ball broke and we landed on the beach. It was an eventful night, luckily the boat was fine. It is not "normal" to see a 40 foot boat on the beach!!!

  2. It was disturning at the time. Our daughter who was 10 at the time was on board and she was a bit scared. We also were with some great friends who were on a mooring ball that night too and helped us out. The worst was it was at night, couldn't see a darn thing and heeled over 45 degrees with wind and waves pounding. We were quite fortunate that we had virtually no damage. Lots of lessons learned. The most important one was to not trust the mooring balls!! The state had crappy lines from the mooring to the chain-we have a Rocna anchor which would have held.
